Lisa Read is a Manheim Township School Board candidate who brings both professional expertise and deep community involvement to her candidacy. A resident of Manheim Township for more than seven years, she combines her experience as a dedicated parent with her proven leadership in both corporate and volunteer roles to serve the district with integrity, fiscal responsibility, and a focus on student success.
Lisa’s professional background includes more than a decade in supply chain management and over ten years in real estate and title work. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Chester University and is Six Sigma Black Belt certified, a credential that reflects her ability to improve processes, streamline operations, and manage resources effectively. These skills directly translate into sound decision-making and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
Her commitment to Manheim Township is reflected in her extensive volunteer service. Lisa currently serves on the PTO boards for Reidenbaugh Elementary, as Secretary, and Landis Run Intermediate, as Volunteer Coordinator. She is also a board member and Concession Director for both the Manheim Township Youth Football Association and the Manheim Township Age Group Swim Program. In addition, she serves on the Board of Governors for the Woodridge Swim Club, volunteers with Junior Achievement, and coaches Girls on the Run at both Reidenbaugh Elementary and Landis Run Intermediate.
Lisa is especially passionate about class sizes, supporting teachers and staff, and ensuring all students have access to exceptional educational and extracurricular opportunities. She believes that fostering a collaborative environment among parents, educators, and community members is key to student achievement and the long-term success of the district.
As a mother of three children currently enrolled in Manheim Township schools, Lisa understands firsthand the importance of thoughtful, informed leadership on the school board.
